Mimi Hearing & beyerdynamic: CES 2018 Innovation Award

Mimi Hearing Technologies alongside beyerdynamic have been nominated for a CES 2018 Innovation Award for the groundbreaking Avento wireless headphone.

Built by beyerdynamic and personalized by MImi, the Aventho wireless, allow for a truly personalized sound experience.

Mimi’s sound personalization technology makes it possible to create a personal hearing profile. This profile is based on the soundcheck in the “Make it yours” (MIY) app and then uploaded directly to the Aventho wireless.

This new high-end model also offers innovative operation: the right side serves as a touch gesture control pad. All functions can be activated using simple touches and gestures: next track, louder, take a call, hang up, lower volume, pause… it’s never been so easy to control your headphones, smartphone and music player app.

Via the MIY app, the sensitivity of the touch control can be adjusted to suit your individual preferences. There is also a tracking option within the app to gan an insight into your listening habits and measure duration and intensity of your daily listening. Further customization options will be made available via updates.

The CES 2018 Innovation Awards nomination comes with many benefits. The Aventho wireless will be displayed proudly with the rest of the Honorees in the Innovation Showcase at CES 2018. Beginning January 9, 2018, the Aventho wireless will be on display in the Innovation Awards Showcase within the Venetian Ballroom at CES Tech West.

Customers who have pre-ordered the beyerdynamic-built, Mimi-personalized Aventho Wireless on the beyerdynamic online retail site are now beginning to receive the wireless headphone.

Alongside beyerdynamic, Mimi unveiled the breakthrough personalized headphone in September at IFA, 2017, to wide acclaim. Aventho marks Mimi first entry into the headphone market. The headphone personalizes sound to users hearing ability, unlocking breathtaking clarity, fidelity, and contrast.

For decades, beyerdynamic have fine-tuned the perfect sound. With legendary Tesla technology, with exquisite materials, with precise workmanship in manufacture. With Aventho, the iconic brand takes the final pioneering step – to personalize sound: for the first time, integrating Mimi's visionary personalization technology.

“With the launch of the Aventho, beyerdynamic and Mimi have started to disrupt the audio category by bringing best-in-class hardware to the personal level.” said Dr. Henrik Matthies, managing director, Mimi Hearing.

Through partnering with a legend in audio, and thanks to it unrivalled position in the sound personalisation space, Mimi has brought completely optimized, personal sound to high end audio for the first time.

Mimi Hearing: Winner of Sónar+D / Migration Startup Competition Awards

Each year, 30 companies are selected for the prestigious Sonar+D Startup Garden competition. Sónar+D is the international conference that brings together a combination of initiatives around a common theme: the relationship between creativity and technology, and the digital transformation of the cultural industries involved.

Of the 10 companies who made it to the final round, Mimi won the overall 1st prize for the best startup. Why? According to the international jury it came down to compelling business model, business scalability, traction, and the overall creativity of the Mimi adventure in sound. We are honored.

In addition to Mimi CEO, Philipp Skribanowitz pitching the winning presentation, we brought a Mimi booth Sónar+D showcasing our latest breakthroughs in sound processing technology. We were also very happy hanging out at the native instruments booth where we connected with a lot of fascinating folks —fellow adventurers in the space where technology, social benefit and creativity converge. We look forward to meeting you all again in the future!

We are thrilled to win this award, it deepens our motivation to work towards a world where hearing ability is no barrier to enjoying sound to the fullest. We will get there.
